Rolofis are large,
wolf-like
Estalons, instantly recognizable by their menacing presence and distinctive physical traits. They stand at an imposing height of
1.75 meters at the shoulder, with a muscular build that radiates strength and power. Their bodies are covered in a striking reddish hue, allowing them to blend seamlessly into the crimson-tinted environment of the
Resnim Forest. One of their most notable features is the external spine protruding along their back. This unique structure causes them constant pain, which is believed to fuel their aggressive behavior toward intruders. The spikes along this spine enhance their already formidable appearance and serve as a natural defense mechanism. Their thick fur is coarse, with dark spots scattered across the upper body, creating a confusing visual pattern for prey. Their white underbelly is kept low to the ground during hunts to avoid detection.
Despite their aggressive nature, Rolofis are surprisingly calm among their own kind, often forming packs of up to 12 individuals. Within these groups, they display strong coordination, especially during hunts. Their thick, blackened limbs allow for swift and powerful strikes, often capable of taking down prey with a single blow. When facing larger opponents, such as
Humans or other
Eldranes, they may rise onto their hind legs, increasing their height and making themselves appear even more intimidating. Though rare, some
Eldranes, particularly
Manifourians, have managed to tame or overpower these creatures, making use of their exceptional hunting abilities. A Rolofis can detect prey from distances of up to
10.3 kilometers, thanks to its highly developed sense of smell.
