According to the
Jimbortan religion of
the Dynasty of Murok Nad’Il, three of the
Kamb-A-Ir Gods forged a legendary weapon known as
the Sword of Farul. Myth holds that the blade was created nearly 400,000 years ago through the combined power of
Araz, God of Lightning,
Nyxar, Goddess of Fire, and
Puril, Goddess of the Underworld.
The Sword of Farul may only be wielded by those who have achieved true balance between greatness and corruption. Any being deemed unworthy who dares to grasp it is unable to release their hold, the sword ignites with merciless flame, burning its bearer alive until nothing remains, not even ash.
The most famous wielder of the blade was the hero
Valorian, who used its power to ascend beyond mortality and achieve godhood. Upon his ascension, he was officially recognized as one of the
Thirteen Primal Gods, and his name was bestowed upon the thirteenth and final month of the
Astracel year, following the twelve gods who came before him.
Ancient records also speak of another bearer who lived long after
Valorian; a man known only as Styl, who walked the world roughly 5,500 years ago. Little is remembered of the man himself, yet legends endure of the blade he wielded.
The Sword of Farul is described as a crystalline weapon, its blade burning with eternal fire. From the hilt, the crystal glows a deep blood-red, fading upward through soft pink before igniting into brilliant blue at its tip.
Those who wield the sword are said to command devastating lightning, capable of striking in any direction with enough force to shatter entire mountains of Polianyte crystal.
Today, the sword's fate is unknown. Some claim it was lost when
Valorian ascended and that Styl was nothing more than legend. Others believe the blade still exists, buried beneath the ruins of forgotten ages. Whether
the Sword of Farul endures, or has faded entirely into myth, remains uncertain.
